Well everyone, the hot sauce king east of the Mississippi finally has his queen. But believe it or not, this Captain Mowatt's owner didn't meet our leading lady through his award-winning sauce. No, no. These two lovers crossed paths at the dentist office, a realm where Aarika was the star.  A classic story of love at first sight, right? Wrong. It took Aarika a series of texts to friends and subtle hints for Nate to finally ask his beautiful hygienist on a date--months later.

But after that, it quickly became clear these two were meant for each other.  And thus, here we arrive at this cool, fall day on the coast of Maine. 

From our first consult, Aarika had her vision entirely mapped out. Elegant and clean, she and Nate wanted a celebration that embodied timeless design with the slightest pop of modernity. 

Beginning at The Portland Regency in the Old Port, the day really started at the beautiful St. Peter Parish and ended at The Woodlands, a country club in Falmouth where the subtlest pops of fall were starting to shine in the maples along the edge of the green.

Of course, Nate, being famous for his hand-made small batches had to leave a touch. So along the tables with their elegant & minimalist design, were hand-labeled jars of the famous stuff itself. 

From a hilarious best mens' speech to the sweetest of blue hour portraits, Nate & Aarika's day was filled with splashes of laughter and the brightest of any smiles.

And it was about time.
