Libby

Beautiful, hard-working, and talented on the hardwood, Libby was recently given the honor of being named to multiple all-star basketball teams.

Her senior session took place on the family farm where the potato fields were in full bloom and the grain was a texture-lovers dream. Using natural elements is my favorite in any and all portraits, but especially during senior sessions. Using those elements in a place that’s important is even more amazing. These fields behind the farm were a common sight for Libby and the amazing views made this senior session amazing.

What made it perfect was that her best friends were able to come along. Yes, yes, yes, always bring your besties to your session. Having a few amazing portraits of you and your friend(s) is a great way to freeze time and have something professional to remember when you were together, even when college takes you to different edges of the state (or country, or world). This basketball trifecta was full of laughter, and a beautiful image of friendship.

Libby’s session was a summer fave for the gorgeous scenery and fun-loving energy she exudes.

The words I hear whenever I see these images are the final sigh Mitch gave Steph as he completed his vows to her. Between shaky breaths he said, “Oh Stephie, I love you more than words can say.” And sometimes it’s as simple as that.

This wedding venue offered a blank slate–white walls, simple chandeliers, large windows, and tall ceilings meant that Diana could design anything in that space. Keeping in line with L&J’s desire for simple, natural elements, they opted for white roses and peonies nestled into an abundance of greenery. For the ceremony, they chose simple cross-back chairs to mimic the wooden ladders of the apple orchard they faced and keep the entire affair organic and true to the location.

Autumn weddings are incredible on their own, but add a healthy dose of fall foliage and my al fresco dreams came true at this blush-inspired wedding day.
