Rancho Santa Fe is a quiet town just north of San Diego and just south of Los Angeles. Nestled in the hills, its boasts a lovely wedding venue called the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. It’s a beautiful hotel and golf club and is in an ideal location for intimate, Southern California events. The rooms are elegantly appointed in a the colonial-Spanish style with terracotta tiles and adobe fireplaces. Splashes of modern twists shine through hundred-year old trees and bougainvillea making this space the perfect canvas for simple, environmental design.

This day was no exception.

Opting for classic green, white, and black, the planning team executed a design that was simple, elegant, and still popped against the backdrop of the scenic inn. This San Diego venue stands on its own, but it also lends weddings the intimacy of an elevated back yard soiree. If your backyard could handle a custom greenhouse frame and checkered dance floor, that is. So if you’re searching for a luxury Southern California wedding venue, consider The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. The on-site accommodations are a huge plus and guests can enjoy a quiet respite not far from the beaches.

Exquisite weather, explosions of florals, a couple with such a sweet love, and fabulous design made this event a stand-out of the summer. Keep scrolling to see why.

While it can be difficult to find a space in SoCal that isn’t the Beverly Hills Hotel, the Greystone Mansion (though I do love a garden-centric event there) or other popular spots around LA, The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe and Rancho Valencia are two fantastic options if you’re wanting to stay closer to San Diego.

My recommendation is a full buy-out of either property so your guests can enjoy a weekend of connection and tranquility, and, of course, a phenomenal planner who create perfect flow and experience day-of.

Some of my favorites include: Calluna Events, Nicole Mower Events, Laura at Moon Velvet Events, and Sarah Brehant Events.

Sunstone villa flanked by olive trees--a wedding venue in Santa Ynez, Calfornia built with old-world, European charm

In the world of California venues, there are many that take your breath and offer a luxurious space to enjoy your day. Sunstone is one of the most iconic. Noted for it’s old-world charm and homey interior, this space feels less like you’re getting married at an estate and more like you’re getting married at home. Your very, very beautiful, Tuscan-inspired home.

Nestled just to the east of the Napa River, this beautiful resort is home to a variety of modern farmhouse-inspired suites and bungalows, intermixed through the grape vines. Guests enjoy the privacy of their own lodgings with the ease of a weekend together, making this spot an ideal home base for a weekend of festivities. Accessible from three airports, Oakland, San Francisco, and Sacramento, Stanly Ranch is ideal for relaxed destination weddings.
