Lexie and I had been in communication about exactly the type of images we were most excited about achieving during her and Tyler’s apple blossom engagement session! During Lexie’s maternity session, we had a very strong sunset, which was amazing for that time of year, and meant that those images had more natural contrast and darker tones. For the engagement, we decided that we wanted really light and airy engagement pictures with color pops and subtle, romantic tones.

To achieve this look, I usually recommend soft colors like pastels, creams, etc., and a steady, reliable light. Tyler & Lexie were up for the challenge of a sunrise session, so we met at a local orchard just as the sun was starting to peek above the horizon. The results were pure magic.

As a wedding and engagement photographer, I always hope for amazing light. Tyler & Lexie’s engagement pictures were more than I could have hoped for. The light wasn’t just amazing. It was perfect. I cannot wait for their Maine wedding next year, and I cannot wait to share all of these amazing images with you!
