With all this cold weather lately, I’ve really been feeling the fall vibes, so I thought I’d finally add Kallie & Joey’s family photography session to the blog because it has ALLLLL the fall feels. This family is so photogenic it isn’t even fair and I absolutely love it when I get the chance to capture them.
You can’t tell by the photos, but this particular day was a little wild. It rained allll afternoon. Kallie and I had been messaging back and forth to decide if we could go ahead. As you know, peak foliage season only lasts for about a week in the northern parts of the state, so rescheduling photos in fall leaves can be a challenge. The Bards braved it out and decided that a little rain wouldn’t be a problem anyway. Pulling into the location for this session, a rainbow unfolded over the lake and we took it as a sign: it was go time. Stepping out of our vehicles we were hit by huge gusts of wind and bitterly cold temps, but this little fam stuck it out and—I mean, I might be biased, but WOW—it was worth it.
Huge energy and big smiles made this session an absolute joy and I hope this sunny day brings you a little cheer while you’re locked at home.
